What we do
Seven areas of active and passive fire protection
Pyroprolipsi studies, designs, supplies, installs and maintains fire protection systems and products. We cover active fire protection, which detects and puts out a fire, and passive fire protection, which contains it where it started.

One team
One partner, from the study to maintenance.
The team is led by mechanical engineer Anastasios Angelikas, BEng, MSc. Our engineers and technicians train continuously to Greek and European standards.
- StudyFire safety studies to the Greek Fire Service national regulations and to NFPA.
- DesignDesign and calculation of fixed firefighting and fire detection systems.
- SupplyProducts from recognised manufacturers in Europe, America and Asia.
- InstallationElectrical and hydraulic networks, installation of fire-rated doors and firestopping.
- MaintenanceMaintenance of fixed systems, periodic inspection and refilling of fire extinguishers.
Standards
The standards we work to
Every system we design and install follows the standards for its category. These are the main ones:
- Fire detection systems: EN 54
- Gas suppression and local detection systems: EN 12094
- Portable fire extinguishers: EN 3
- Wheeled fire extinguishers: EN 1866
- Fire extinguisher maintenance: Joint Ministerial Decisions (KYA) 618 and 17230
- Fire-rated doors and glazing: EN 1634, UNI 9723 and BS 476
- Sliding fire doors and fire shutters: EN 16034 and EN 13241
- Timber fire doors: EN 13501
- Fire pump sets: EN 12095
- Fire safety studies: Greek Fire Service national regulations and NFPA
The company holds ELOT EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification for the study, installation and maintenance of its systems.
FAQ
What clients ask us most
Can I give the whole fire protection project to one company?
Yes. Pyroprolipsi handles the study, design, supply, installation and maintenance of active and passive fire protection systems. You have one party responsible from the first drawing to maintenance, and the systems are designed from the start to work together. Tell us about your building and we will propose the scope of work.
What is the difference between active and passive fire protection?
Active fire protection detects and puts out a fire, with fire detection, suppression systems and firefighting equipment. Passive fire protection contains fire and smoke where they started, with fire-rated doors, glazing, firestopping, fire boards and intumescent paints. Most buildings need both.
Do I need a fire safety study before installation?
Usually yes, because the study sets out which systems are required and where. We prepare fire safety studies to the Greek Fire Service national regulations and handle the file for the fire safety certificate. Where a project calls for it, we also design to the American NFPA standards.
How do fire detection and suppression work together?
A local detection panel receives the signal from the detectors and releases the suppression system in the room it protects. These systems, including extinguishing control panels, follow EN 12094. Because we design and install both systems, the link between them is planned together from the start.
Do you maintain the systems after installation?
Yes. The company's ISO 9001:2015 certification covers the maintenance of fixed fire detection and firefighting systems. We are also a recognised company for the periodic inspection, maintenance and refilling of fire extinguishers. Contact us to agree the maintenance your installation needs.
