Fire safety studies to Greek regulations and NFPA
We prepare fire safety studies for the Greek fire safety certificate, and studies to the American NFPA standards.
A fire safety study defines the active and passive fire protection measures a building or business needs. Pyroprolipsi prepares fire safety studies to the Greek national specifications of the Fire Service, handles the file for the fire safety certificate, and designs studies to the American NFPA standards.
Studies
Which studies we take on
We cover licensing in Greece as well as projects that call for American standards.
- Fire safety studies to the Greek national specifications of the Fire Service
- Handling the file for the issue of a fire safety certificate
- Studies and design to the American NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association)
Standards
Greek specifications and NFPA
For licensing in Greece, the study follows the fire protection regulation and the Fire Service specifications for the building's use. It sets out the measures, systems and equipment required, and it accompanies the file for the fire safety certificate.
NFPA studies follow the American standards of the National Fire Protection Association. They are usually requested by international groups, insurers or industrial projects with their own technical specifications.
We design and calculate fixed firefighting and fire detection systems to European and American standards, and we study the active and passive fire protection of each project.
Lifecycle
From the study to maintenance
The study is the first step. Pyroprolipsi can then supply and install the systems it specifies, and maintain them after handover.
The team of engineers and technicians is led by the company's founder, mechanical engineer Anastasios Angelikas, BEng, MSc, who specialises in the study, design and installation of active and passive fire protection systems.
The company's ELOT EN ISO 9001:2015 certification covers the study and design of fixed fire detection and firefighting systems and of passive fire protection.

FAQ
What clients ask us most
What is a fire safety study?
A fire safety study is the engineering study that defines the active and passive fire protection of a building or business: fire compartments, escape routes, fire detection and firefighting systems, portable equipment and emergency lighting. It is prepared to the regulations and specifications of the Greek Fire Service and is the basis for the fire safety certificate.
Does my business need a fire safety certificate?
Many businesses and buildings need a fire safety certificate from the Fire Service, depending on their use, floor area and the number of people they hold. The requirements differ from one use to another, so each case is checked on its own. Send us the details of your premises and we will tell you what is required.
Do you handle the file with the Fire Service?
Yes. As well as writing the study, we handle the file for the issue of the fire safety certificate. We prepare the study and drawings to the Fire Service specifications and, if you wish, we supply and install the measures and systems the study calls for.
When is an NFPA study needed?
An NFPA study is needed when a project must follow the American standards of the National Fire Protection Association. It is usually requested by international groups, insurance companies or industrial facilities with their own specifications. An NFPA study does not replace the Greek licensing requirements, but it can sit alongside them.
How much does a fire safety study cost?
The cost depends on the use and size of the building, the systems required and whether the certificate file is also needed. For that reason we do not quote a price before seeing the project details. Send us floor plans, the use and the floor area of the premises and we will prepare a quote.
Can you also carry out what the study specifies?
Yes. Pyroprolipsi supplies, installs and maintains the systems a study specifies: fire detection, suppression, firefighting equipment, fire-rated doors and firestopping. The study, the installation and the maintenance are handled by the same team, under a certified ELOT EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
