Equipment
What we supply and install
We cover water-based firefighting and portable equipment, from the extinguisher on the wall to the building's pump room.
- Equipment for fixed water systems: fire hose cabinets, pressure-reducing valves, butterfly valves, alarm valves, deluge valves, pre-action valves, sprinklers and flow switches
- Fire tool stations
- Portable and wheeled fire extinguishers
- Fire hoses, nozzles, hydrant valves, Storz couplings and related equipment
- Fire pump sets
Standards
Certified products from recognised manufacturers
The extinguishers we supply are certified to EN 3 (portable) and EN 1866 (wheeled). We carry dry powder, carbon dioxide (CO2), foam, water and F-Class extinguishers for cooking oils, as well as local application systems.
Our fire hoses are certified to DIN 14811, EN 694 or EN 14540 depending on the type, and our sprinklers carry approvals such as CE, VdS, LPCB, UL and FM.
A fire pump set combines an electric main pump, a diesel or electric standby pump, a jockey pump, a pressure vessel and a control panel.
Manufacturers we have worked with in this category include Parsch for hoses, AWG for hydrant valves, Rapidrop for sprinklers and Minimax for flow switches.
Lifecycle
From the study to maintenance
We handle the whole cycle: study and design, supply, installation and maintenance. The same team knows your equipment from the first drawing to the periodic inspection.
Pyroprolipsi is certified as a recognised company for the periodic inspection, maintenance and refilling of fire extinguishers, certificate no. MIRTEC01-30-004294CER11.7042500548. FAQ
What clients ask us most
How often do fire extinguishers need maintenance?
Fire extinguishers are inspected and serviced at least once a year by a recognised company, as Greek law requires. After any use, even partial, they need refilling, and the cylinders are hydrostatically tested at regular intervals. Pyroprolipsi is a recognised company for the periodic inspection, maintenance and refilling of fire extinguishers.
Which fire extinguisher do I need for my premises?
It depends on the kind of fire that could start there. ABC dry powder covers most general uses, CO2 suits electrical equipment, foam suits flammable liquids and F-Class is for cooking oils in commercial kitchens. The number and position of extinguishers are set by the fire safety study and the regulations.
What is the difference between a portable and a wheeled extinguisher?
A portable extinguisher is carried by hand and certified to EN 3, while a wheeled extinguisher holds more extinguishing agent, moves on wheels and is certified to EN 1866. Wheeled units are used where the risk is higher, such as warehouses, factories and fuel stations. We supply both types in dry powder, CO2 and foam.
What is a fire pump set?
It is the group of pumps that supplies pressurised water to the fire main, meaning the hose cabinets and the sprinklers. It usually includes an electric main pump, a diesel or electric standby pump, a jockey pump that holds the pressure, a pressure vessel and a control panel. Its size comes from the hydraulic study of the network.
Do you only sell equipment, or do you install it too?
We do both. Pyroprolipsi handles the study, design, supply, installation and maintenance of firefighting equipment, and also sells individual items such as extinguishers, hoses and couplings. We import products from recognised manufacturers in Europe, America and Asia. Send us a request with the needs of your premises and we will prepare a quote.
